Technical Project Manager

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Technical Project Manager to lead our technical projects from conception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent project management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. As a Technical Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of complex technical projects, meeting both business and technical objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Execution: Develop detailed project plans, outlining scope, timelines, resources, and deliverables. Lead project teams through the entire project life cycle, ensuring milestones are met on time and within budget.
  2. Technical Leadership: Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams. Collaborate with technical leads and developers to make informed decisions and overcome technical challenges.
  3. Stakeholder Communication: Establish and maintain clear and effective communication channels with project stakeholders, including technical and non-technical audiences. Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and issues.
  4. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate technical risks and issues. Develop contingency plans and ensure the technical aspects of the project align with business goals.
  5. Resource Management: Work closely with technical leads and resource managers to allocate resources effectively. Optimize resource utilization to meet project demands.
  6. Quality Assurance: Implement and oversee quality assurance processes to ensure that technical deliverables meet established standards and adhere to best practices.
  7. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation, including technical specifications, architecture diagrams, and other relevant records.
  8. Collaboration: Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture. Facilitate effective communication and coordination among cross-functional teams.
  9. Change Management: Manage changes to project scope and technical requirements. Assess the impact of changes and communicate adjustments to stakeholders.
  10. Post-Implementation Review: Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess the success of technical projects, identify areas for improvement, and incorporate lessons learned into future projects.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline. PMP or relevant certifications are a plus.
  2. Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager, successfully delivering complex technical projects.
  3. Strong technical background and understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
  4. Excellent project management, leadership, and communication skills.
  5. Ability to translate technical concepts into non-technical terms for diverse stakeholders.
  6. Proficiency in project management tools and platforms.
  7. Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities.
  8. Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and efficiency.
