Lead, New Business Development
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic-minded individual to lead our efforts in identifying, pursuing, and capturing new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of driving revenue growth through innovative strategies, cultivating partnerships, and expanding market presence. As the Lead of New Business Development, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the company’s business expansion initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities aligned with the company’s overall goals and objectives.
- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, potential clients, and emerging opportunities. Use insights to inform decision-making and guide business development efforts.
- Relationship Building: Establish and cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and partners to foster collaboration and create mutually beneficial business opportunities.
- Lead Generation: Drive the development and execution of effective lead generation initiatives, including networking, targeted outreach, and participation in industry events to expand the company’s client base.
- Proposal Development: Oversee the creation of compelling and tailored proposals for potential clients, showcasing the company’s value proposition and capabilities.
- Negotiation and Closing: Lead negotiations with potential clients, vendors, and partners to secure favorable terms and agreements. Take ownership of the deal-closing process.
- Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing business development team, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship. Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team culture.
- Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track and evaluate the success of business development efforts. Regularly report on progress and recommend adjustments as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
- Proven experience in a senior-level business development role, with a successful track record of driving revenue growth and expanding market share.
- Strong understanding of market dynamics, business trends, and competitive landscapes.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute tactically to achieve business objectives.
- Leadership experience with a focus on building and managing high-performing teams.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
